
Praised for her “awesome skill” and for attaining “the power
of a much older
violinist,” (New Jersey’s Sentinel-Ledger) violinist Joanna Marie
Frankel
has been a soloist with the Ambler Symphony, the Olney Symphony,
the Academy
Chamber Society, the Rose Tree Pops, the Abington Presbyterian Church
Orchestra, the Temple University Community Orchestra, and The Ocean
City
Pops. She has performed as a recitalist in Philadelphia, Fort Washington,
New York City, Chattanooga, TN, Charleston, SC, and The Netherlands.
Ms.
Frankel has won top prizes in concerto competitions associated with
The
Ambler Symphony, The Pottstown Symphony, and The Philadelphia Orchestra’s
Mann Music Center. She has also won honorable mention at The California
International Young Artists’ Violin Competition and has been a featured
performer on 90.5 WSMC Classical Radio of Collegedale, Tennessee.
Ms.
Frankel is currently a master’s degree candidate at The Juilliard School,
studying the violin and the viola. She will perform her Carnegie
Hall
recital debut in January, 2007. |
