
Flutist, Ririko Okada, native of Japan, began her musical
study at the age of four. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree
from SUNY Purchase College and her Master of Music degree from
Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Michael Parloff.
As a young musician she performed as a member of New York Youth
Symphony Chamber Music Program at Carnegie hall, Bowdoin Summer
Music Festival and Long Island University where she was awarded
the Binkowski Fellowship Award for an outstanding flutist, and
was a substitute member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago and New World
Symphony for 2005-2006 season. She often performs with One World
Symphony, Composers Concordance, Ureuk Chamber Orchestra, Korean
Chamber Orchestra of NY, Salon De Virtuosi and Asian Artists and
Concerts. Ms. Okada teaches and freelances throughout tri-state
area and in Japan. |
